What can you expect?
- Build and maintain stunning interfaces using React and other modern web frameworks
- Build backend architectures to create, present and mutate data in our databases using GraphQL / REST
- Build and maintain our infrastructure using Terraform / Google Cloud Platform / GitHub Actions and other CI tools
- Add reliable unit, integration and e2e tests
- Develop our content and configuration experience on web devices in Shopify
- Collaborate with our User Interface Designers to build and improve our Shopify web app
- Stay informed about current technologies and recent developments in web and media technologies
- Participate in the decision-making process
- Challenge conventional solutions and wisdom

- 2+ years of software development, web development or equivalent expertise
- Background in JavaScript, ideally React, or equivalent

You'll walk through four stages:
1. Get to know each other: You'll speak with our founders team first. We use this to pitch us and get you excited to join. We'll also use this change to see whether both our expectations align.
2. Meet the team: You'll get to meet our team members. We value team fit over everything else. This also gives you the chance to see whether you'd enjoy working with us.
3. Technical assessment: You will send us a piece of code you've written before (can be a pet project or a code challenge). We'll use that to have a conversation about which decisions you've taken and why.
4. Final conversation: The team and you are going to chat more about the position, what you value, what you took away from the interviews so far, and whatever is on your mind.
We are mindful of your time: Going through all stages can be done within one week. Once you've passed them all we will extend a formal offer.

What do I have to consider if I am not from Germany?
Please make sure to provide all necessary documents within your Workwise profile. It should include an EU work-permit (if you have no EU citizenship) and a CV at least. Depending on the position you are applying to, you could also be asked for a certificate of enrollment, a transcript of records or a language certificate. We would also recommend to inform yourself thoroughly in advance about visa regulations. Therefore you can use the official visa navigator from the Federal Foreign Office.
What do I have to consider if German is not my mother tongue?
Please take into account the job’s language requirements and make sure the requirements match your skills.
