- Thema: Einsatz von Tracking und Machine Learning zur Entwicklung intelligenter Support Systeme
- Vor lauter Bäumen den Wald nicht mehr sehen – bei der Konfiguration von komplexen Produkten ist das ein echtes Problem: aufgrund der hohen Anzahl an Wahlmöglichkeiten ist der Nutzer überfordert und weiß nicht, wie er sich entscheiden soll. Im schlechtesten Fall gibt er sogar ganz auf, anstatt sich sein passendes Produkt zusammenzustellen. In der Literatur wird dieses Phänomen unter dem Begriff Mass Confusion beschrieben.
- Für unsere Produktkonfigurator-Lösung erforschen wir die Anwendung von Machine Learning, um Mass Confusion während der Nutzung zu erkennen und intelligente Methoden zur Vermeidung von Überforderung entgegenzuwirken. Unsere Vision ist es, den Nutzer so zu unterstützen, dass auch bei komplexen Produkten keine Überforderung eintritt und er situationsspezifische Hilfestellung erhält.
Dein Gestaltungsspielraum
- Im Rahmen der Abschlussarbeit erstellst du ein Konzept, wie Tracking und Machine Learning-Methoden sinnvoll kombiniert werden können, um Mass Confusion zuverlässig zu erkennen und geeignete Support Maßnahmen auszuwählen.
- Außerdem lernst du im Austausch mit unseren Experten unsere vielseitige Software-Landschaft kennen.
- Dabei verwendest du weltweit etablierte Machine Learning-Frameworks, wie z.B. TensorFlow und Keras, für eine prototypische Implementierung.
- Du validierst die Ergebnisse der Arbeit anhand von realen Daten und Praxisbeispielen.

What do I have to consider if I am not from Germany?
Please make sure to provide all necessary documents within your Workwise profile. It should include an EU work-permit (if you have no EU citizenship) and a CV at least. Depending on the position you are applying to, you could also be asked for a certificate of enrollment, a transcript of records or a language certificate. We would also recommend to inform yourself thoroughly in advance about visa regulations. Therefore you can use the official visa navigator from the Federal Foreign Office.
