Backend or Fullstack Engineer (m/w/d) Java/AWS/DevOps
In this role you will:
- You will follow agile practices, work as a team and ensure timely delivery.
- You will take part in daily standup meetings, planning sessions and code reviews.
- You will help us launch our third product! We’re building an inventory management database for laboratories, which helps scientists keep track of their inventory.
- You will come up with your own solutions for technical challenges around data integrity, file management, rights and roles concepts and search functionalities.
- You will write code in a structured and readable way, you will write unit and regression tests and document your code properly, including API documentation aimed at our users.
- Ideally, you will take an important part in the DevOps operations around the deployment of our product.
- You will stay on top of the latest developments in software design, architecture and web services.

What we’re looking for:
- 3-5 years of backend coding experience in a team for large-scale applications
- Java proficiency, experience with relational databases, REST APIs, Elasticsearch, AWS (or some of these)
- Basic knowledge of frontend languages is a plus (your colleagues work with JavaScript)
- You are comfortable working in an international and distributed team (working language is English)

Personal contact is possible via chat as soon as you have been invited for an interview. Before that, you will receive all important status changes by e-mail. If you have any questions, you can contact your personal Candidate Manager:in from Workwise.
I don't think I meet all the requirements. Can I still apply?
What do I have to consider if I am not from Germany?
Please make sure to provide all necessary documents within your Workwise profile. It should include an EU work-permit (if you have no EU citizenship) and a CV at least. Depending on the position you are applying to, you could also be asked for a certificate of enrollment, a transcript of records or a language certificate. We would also recommend to inform yourself thoroughly in advance about visa regulations. Therefore you can use the official visa navigator from the Federal Foreign Office.
